Official 'Hang Up On Motorola' Campaign Launch

Well, we wrote letters, we made calls, we asked questions. Motorola's answers fall far short in content and substance. As of today, we are officially launching this new website:

We'll be sending around an announcement to our activists today and hopefully spreading the word from there.

We need to step up the pressure on senior-level Motorola management and shareholders to respond substantively to our allegations that Motorola is profiting from Israel's occupation and human rights abuses of Palestinians.

But, we need your immediate help to keep the pressure on.

Some ways to get involved include:

Level 1: Send your own personal message by clicking here. Demand Motorola respond to our allegations and tell them how you feel about their war profiteering. As an individual you can have an impact in making Motorola accountable to our concerns and let them know that they will be held accountable to socially responsible policies and actions in Israel/Palestine. Send a personalized letter, to Motorola detailing your concerns that they are not acting a good corporate citizen.
Level 2: Become a local organizer. Click here to request an organizing packet. Once you sign up with us, you will receive updated information and helpful resources like postcards and petitions. We ask that you spread the word and gather as many signatures and build awareness about Motorola's practices.
Level 3: Organize locally in your community. Educate your family, friends and neighbors about the practices of Motorola by downloading resources like petitions and postcards by clicking here. Hold a BDS-Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions--workshop on campus, at your place of worship or elsewhere in your community. This action requires a bit of time and planning but not to worry, we have plenty of resources to guide you in the planning of your workshop. In the coming weeks we will have additional resources like our action guide to help you with planning events and workshops.

We ask that you dedicate four hours a month of your time, that's like watching two films a month, not a huge commitment but we do want folk that are serious and have a bit of time to dedicate to this campaign.

Of course, no matter what your level of involvement--the US Campaign recognizes that there is no single "right way" to approach boycott and divestment work-we know that we are in this for the long haul.

Solidarity!
